The Alamo, San Antonio, Texas A visit to Texas wouldn't be complete without a visit to the Alamo, it's just too famous a historic landmark to miss out. I was warned that I'd be disappointed but I wasn't. It's well cared for and interesting with its museum and guides who narrate the story of the siege . So important is this shrine that city ordinances restrict the height of new buildings in San Antonio so as to avoid casting a shadow on the face of the Alamo at sunset.
The first picture was taken in San Antonio as the sun began to set. The second picture is of the Alamo built by John Wayne for his movie 'The Alamo'.
