Down, Northern Ireland.   Like many seaside towns in the UK, our love of foreign holidays and the need to get away from grey sky's has resulted in fewer visitors and in a lack of investment.  Yet try finding a car parking space on the seafront in Bangor on a sunny summer weekend and you begin to realise that this little north Down town hasn't totally lost it's appeal.   The marina makes Bangor popular for those who like messing about in bouts and its other attractions include Pickie Fun Park, Bangor Abbey, Heritage Centre, Ballyholme Beach, Coastal Path to Crawfordsburn/Helens Bay, Multiplex Cinema, Castle Park Nature Trail, Ward Park, Crawfordsburn Country Park.
