The Alamo, Brackettville, Texas The Movie set for John Wayne's film 'The Alamo' is located on the Shahan Angus Ranch in Kinney County and is now a tourist attraction. In addition to the Alamo, the town has nearly three dozen buildings including jails, saloons, general store, bank, hotel, church, stable etc. It has played host to over 200 feature films including Arrowhead, Gunsmoke, and Lonesome Dove, to name but a few.
